In short: On Wednesday October 21 we took part in Frisk Asker Network Day 2026 at the Asker culture house, together with over 300 people from more than 100 companies in the region. This year's theme was «The joy of succeeding together», and after a day of inspiring talks, a good panel conversation and a steady stream of conversations at our stand, we think it sums up the day very well. Here are our impressions.
What is Frisk Asker Network Day?
The network day is the annual gathering of Frisk Asker Hockey's business network, the meeting place that brings together companies from Asker and Bærum for a full day of talks and networking. This year the event filled the Asker culture house with over 300 participants from more than 100 companies, and for us it was a special day: The first network day since we became an official partner of the Frisk network.
What did we take away from the stage?
The program hit this year's theme well. Mental coach Anders Meland from Olympiatoppen, Norway's elite sports center, spoke about how to reach high performance together, with perspectives from elite sport that felt familiar to anyone building a company. Supreme Court justice Cecilie Østensen Berglund shared thought-provoking reflections on judgment under pressure, on making good decisions when the stakes are high.
The day ended with a panel conversation on building teams, where Solveig Gulbrandsen, Glenn Solberg, Carl Fredrik Solli and Roger Hansen shared experiences on collaboration, trust and what it takes to succeed together, in sports as well as in business. It is striking how much of what applies in a locker room also applies in a company.
The most important part happened between the talks
At least as valuable as what happened on stage were all the meetings and conversations between the companies. At our stand, participants could scan a QR code and see whether AI recommends their business, and it sparked many good conversations about what the AI shift means for everyone from energy consultants to law firms. The reaction was often the same: First curiosity, then a fairly concrete wish to know where they themselves stand.
For us, building a company, it means a lot to be part of a network where people from different industries meet, share experiences and help each other forward. Meeting places like this are where relationships start, and some of them grow into good collaborations over time. That is one of the reasons we engage with the sports networks.
